Introduced in 1920, the Cloche de Cartier was named after its shape. In fact, when placed horizontally, the outline of this model is reminiscent of a service bell rung at a counter.
The original Cloche de Cartier
Part of the Cartier Privé, the collectors’ collection that celebrates the Maison’s historical models through limited edition watches, the new reinterpretation of the Cloche de Cartier adopts all the Maison’s watchmaking codes. The “rail track” and hour markings are adapted to the dial’s asymmetrical shape and the crown is set with a cabochon. info: xtime-store
Two versions have been created: the classic Cloche De Cartier and the Cloche De Cartier Skeleton.
The classic Cloche De Cartier is available in pink gold, yellow gold or platinum (100 pieces for each metal) with finishes that are faithful to those of the original model: satin-finished on the back, polished between the lugs or edges. Measures are: 37.15 x 28.75 mm.info: xtime-store
To watch is driven by the 1917 MC Manufacture movement, a hand-wound calibre created in 2019 that beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers 38 hours of power reserve.info: xtime-store
The Cloche De Cartier Skeleton showcases an entirely openworked dial. It required the Manufacture 1917 mechanical movement to be completely reworked making the wheels and gears visible through the transparent Roman numerals, now transformed into bridges. The result is the 9626 Cartier Manufacture movement. info: xtime-store
The Cloche De Cartier Skeleton is available in rose gold (50 pieces), platinum (50 pieces) and diamond-set platinum (20 pieces). info: xtime-store
