Hublot - Big Bang Tourbillon Samuel Ross
2023-08-27
Hublot introduced its “Hublot Loves Art” initiative more than a decade ago, since then collaborating with some of the most talented artists and designers of a generation to create new interpretations of time and timekeeping. The most recent creator to take this challenge is Samuel Ross, an award-winning British designer, creative director and artist renowned for his collaboration with brands like Oakley, Nike, Dr. Martens and Mackintosh as well as for his own men’s Luxury Sportswear label A-Cold-Wall* and his design studio SR_A.info: xtime-store
The result is the new Big Bang Tourbillon Samuel Ross, a timepiece strongly characterised by the titanium honeycomb mesh used on the sapphire dial, case, caseback and strap. A basic building block of nature (seen in environments from beehives and snake’s scales to pineapple skin and snowflakes) the robust and efficient shape, that can be repeated without gaps or overlapping, has been appropriated as a standard for modern-day construction and design thanks to the seamless fit of each unit.info: xtime-store
The lightweight, openworked titanium structure, combined to the malleable rubber strap, ensures great comfort on the wrist. info: xtime-store
Ross has chosen a vibrant orange colour for the strap and accents on the crown and tourbillon bridge and lateral bumpers in smooth rubber that protect the case, a glowing contrast to the sober grey of the satin-finished case and bezel. Measuring 44 mm x 13.75 mm, the watch is water resistant up to a pressure of 3 bar (30 metres / 100 feet).info: xtime-store
The 282-component, manufacture self-winding HUB6035 calibre beats at 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour) with an autonomy of 72 hours.info: xtime-store
Limited to 50 pieces, the Hublot Big Bang Tourbillon Samuel Ross ref. 428.NX.0100.RX.SRA 22 has a price of Euro 115,000 / US$ 116,000. info: xtime-store
